learning about any and all intellectual property. In this display, you will
also get a chance to see some of our patent, trademark, and copyright
connections to space and presidents.

National Preservation Week is April 25-May 1, 2021!
This display is presented to raise awareness of the nature, causes and extent of
library preservation. It offers tips, sources and examples of preventive measures and best
practices.
Within the WSU Libraries, Special Collections and University Archives preserves rare and
unique books, manuscripts, university records, photographs and other images, and Kansas
maps and atlases through archival storage enclosures, controlled environmental conditions,
careful handling and use, digitization and professional description and organization. SOAR
(Shocker Open Access Repository) preserves scholarly works, educational material and
university documents and makes the university’s digital scholarship available to a global
audience.

This display will celebrate major award winning books of 2020 and 2021. We will pull titles from the BookBrowse Awards, Pulitzer Prize for Letters, Drama and Music, Booker Prize, The John Newbery Medal, Edgar Awards, National Book Critics Circle Award, National Book Awards, Costa Book Awards, Women's Prize for Fiction, and the PEN/Bellwether Prize. I would also like to include quotes from staff and students about the reasons they enjoy reading.
