Black History Month

February is Black History Month, an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a recognition of the importance of African Americans in the history of the United States. The Association for the Study of African American Life and History has selected “African Americans and the Vote” as the 2020 theme for Black History month. This library display includes selections from our collection relating to the 2020 theme, in addition to poetry, fiction, non-fiction, literary and cultural criticism by and about African Americans.

This display was created by Maria Sclafani and Kelsey Unruh.

Dates: January 31, 2020 to ___________.
