Edible Book Festival is open to Wichita State students, faculty, and staff, as well as Wichita community members.

Rules and Guidelines:

  • To enter the Edible Book competition please register by 3/31/2023.
  • Individual and group entries are encouraged.
  • Entries must be composed primarily of edible materials (90% or more). Toothpicks and minimal use of food wrappers are allowed. Food not in edible form, such as dry rice or orange peels, may also be used.
  • By entering the competition you are granting permission for University Libraries to use photographs of your Edible Book with the possibility of use on the Libraries' Edible Book website, other publications, or social media. 
  • Entries in violation of the Student Code of Conduct will not be permitted.
  • Entries may not include living edible elements (i.e. lobsters, fish, chickens).
  • Wichita State University students, staff, and faculty, as well as community members unaffiliated with the University, are encouraged to participate!
  • Library staff reserve the right to amend these rules without prior notice.  Noncompliance of any rules will result in expulsion from the event
