The EndNote interface

EndNote Online allows management of PDF file and figure attachments as well as sharing.

This is what an EndNote 21 library looks like:

All references are included in the left menu, including all groups and group sets you have set up to organize them. You can make as many groups as you want and place references in multiple groups. In the main section, All References and any selected groups will each display in their own tab at the top. Each can be searched within your personal library, and individual references will display below. If the reference has a PDF attached, it will show a paper clip on the left side. If selected, the detailed reference can be viewed/edited in the section on the right. If any fields are displaying incorrect information, you can edit the reference using the right-hand panel. You can also view the PDF in EndNote and annotate it, or even open it in Adobe Acrobat or similar program and highlight and make notes that will be saved to this file.
