Seven of the Libraries' second floor focus rooms received significant upgrades in 2021, including all new furniture, touch lamps, and height-adjustable desks.
New furnishings finalize focus room facelift
The last wave of updates to the the Libraries' focus rooms came in September 2021. An assortment of brand new furniture, as well as touch lamps, were installed in seven of the popular single-occupancy study rooms located on the second floor of Ablah Library.
This project began to take shape seven months prior in March with the removal of the old desks from the rooms. New, height-adjustable desks were installed in May, along with the rooms receiving fresh coats of paint, and new glass and hinges.
