Direct library patrons to use the public phone which is in between the stairwell and bulletin board on the north side of the main hall. Press "9" for an outside extension from this phone. For campus phone numbers (978-prefix) use the last four digits to dial the extension. No long distance numbers can be dialed.
Please answer the Reference Desk phone when the librarian is away or engaged with a customer. How may I help you?" or "Hello, this is the Reference Desk at the Wichita State library. May I help you?" Say something you are comfortable with and practice your greeting.
