As the Digital Resources Librarian, I focus on facilitating access to the university libraries' digital collection in support of teaching, research and learning at Wichita State University Libraries. I manage the university libraries' collection of over three million electronic books, journals and streaming titles, as well as over 300 research databases. WSU affiliates can connect to these materials, both on and off campus, through a variety of discovery points, including Google Scholar and other research databases. I also work with content vendors to improve user interfaces of research platforms to help make online interfaces and licensed content more accessible for all users. Please be advised that maintenance is scheduled for EBSCOhost platform (EBSCO databases) and Discovery service (Smartsearch) on Wednesday, 12/3/25 from 1:30 AM. This update process may interrupt research by causing errors and logging users out intermittently. To work around this issue, users are advised to reauthenticate or download materials for work offline. The maintenance is expected to last one hour.

UPDATE: JSTOR issue is resolved for ebooks, but the issue with journals persists.
Please be advised some e-books and ejournals from JSTOR are showing full text availability in Smartsearch when there is no license. This is an ongoing issue with the vendor we are working on. There is no estimate for when this issue will be resolved. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the inconvenience.
