The Huion HS610 Drawing Tablet kit includes a USB adaptor cable, adapters for micro USB & USB-C, and a pen with charging stand. This item checks out for three (3) days.
The drawing tablet can be used to draw, paint, and create digital art on computers and mobile devices. It's compatible with Andriod OS 6.0 or later. It is also compatible with Windows OS and Mac OC through a cable. It has a resolution of 5,080 Ipi.
A 3D pen is available for checkout at the Circulation Desk of Ablah Library. The Pen has a two (2) hour check out time which is renewable if there isn't another patron on the waitlist. The pen and accessories will be checked out to a patron's account at the Circulation Desk and filament is available to be used, one color at a time.
C-Space offers access to a 7tech 3D Pen. This equipment may be used by all currently enrolled WSU students or employees of Wichita State. The pens uses PLA plastic filament to free hand three-dimensional objects/art.
General Policies
I. The 3D pen must be used only for lawful purposes. Users will not be permitted to use University Libraries' 3D pen to create material that is:
a. Prohibited by local, state or federal law.
b. Unsafe, harmful, dangerous or poses an immediate threat to the well-being of others.
c. A utensil that is to be used for storing or consuming any food item. (The material provided in the library is not certified to be of food grade.)
d. Obscene or otherwise inappropriate in the UL environment.
e. In violation of another’s intellectual property rights. The printers will not be used to reproduce material that is subject to copyright, patent or trademark protection, unless authorized by the creator.
II. WSU University Libraries reserves the right to refuse any 3D pen request.
III. Cost: Free for Fiscal Year 2025, rest TBD. This is payable by cash or credit card (If $1 or more) at the Circulation Desk. Any design failures will be held accountable to the designer of the model.
IV. The use of 3D parts as a replacement for any machine part is not recommended (as it can lead to failure of the equipment). Also, such parts are not designed to be exposed to direct and continuous sunlight, high temperatures or continuous stress.
V. 3D Pens are to be checked out from the Circulation or Reserve Desk and used in designated locations within the Tech Hub of Ablah Library for up to 2 hours at a time. When through using the 3D Pen please take it to a Tech Hub student employee for a condition check before returning to the circulation desk.
VI. 3D Pens are not to be taken out of Tech Hub.
