We have three types of items, with different checkout periods. New laptops used in our computer lab can be checked out for two (2) hours, or until an hour before we close. Whichever comes first.
All other laptops can be checked out for three (3) days. They are due back an hour before we close on the 3rd day.
Chromebooks check out for seven (7) days, and are also due back an hour before we close on the 7th day.
If needed for longer than those times, chromebooks may be available by request from the the Media Resources Center - Campus Media Services (978-3588) or Student Support Services (only for SSS students).
Can I renew the laptop?
A laptop or chromebook may be renewed as long as there is no waiting list. All items will need to be physically brought back to the library before we will renew them. Please contact the Circulation Desk (316) 978-3582 if you are having issues returning the item on time.

Patrons may save their documents by e-mailing the document as an attachment to an e-mail account, saving the document to a personal storage device (i.e. a flash drive) or saving to a cloud storage option. Files may not be stored on the hard drive. All files saved on the hard drive are automatically deleted when the computer is restarted.
I have a program that I want to use while I'm here. Can I install it on the laptop?
No. You may not install personal software, change system settings, download plug-ins, or attach unauthorized hardware.
What if I have a problem with the library's laptop?
