Browse by Call Number
  • Click the link above to browse through the top levels of the Library of Congress Classification System as presented in Wikipedia.
    • History books are usually, but not always, in D, E and F. Find the subcategory you want to explore--for example, DQ--then look for call numbers starting with DQ in the library stacks (shelves).
  • All of the above are shelved on the 3rd floor.
  • Another strategy: find the call number of another book on your topic, find the book on the shelf, then explore the books on the shelves nearby.
Find Books in Other Libraries

  • If the WSU Libraries does not have the book, click the blue button that says "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan."
  • You will be taken to the ILL page -- register the first time. The form will be completed for you with the book's information.
