  • Click on a title. Then browse related materials by clicking on a subject, e.g. American Indian History
Browse by Call Number
  • Click the link above to browse through the top levels of the Library of Congress Classification System as presented in Wikipedia.
    • History books are usually, but not always, in D, E and F. Find the subcategory you want to explore--for example, DQ--then look for call numbers starting with DQ in the library stacks (shelves).
  • All of the above are shelved on the 3rd floor.
  • Another strategy: find the call number of another book on your topic (click for example), find the book on the shelf, then explore the books on the shelves nearby.
Find Books in Other Libraries
  • Use WorldCat (below) to search for books in libraries across the United States and around the world.
  • If the WSU Libraries does not have the book, click the blue button that says "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan."
  • You will be taken to the ILL page -- register the first time. The form will be completed for you with the book's information.
