Reserve Fine Policies

Fines: Fines for overdue reserve materials are $.60 per hour for "Library Only" items with a maximum fine of $10.00 per item per day. Materials that are checked out of the library (1-day, 3-days, or 7-days) are assessed a $.50 per day per item fine for each day they are late. Please see the various checkout periods below.

Recalls or Holds: We will recall books for an instructor to put on reserve for his/her classes. However, due to high demand, reserve items cannot be recalled or placed on hold.

Electronic Reserve

Your instructor may place class readings in electronic reserve. These readings are accessible on any computer; when off-campus you will be asked to login with your myWSU ID.

  1. Go to the Library’s online catalog.
  2. Click on the "Course Reserve" tab.
  3. Select your instructor, department, or course from the drop down menus.

  4.  You will now see the list of titles placed on reserve. Verify at the top of each record that the item is for your course and instructor.

  5. To determine if the reading is available, click on the title.

  6. If available electronically, look under "Holdings Information" for E-Item. Click on the link to the right of "E-Item" to access the full text and graphics of the reading.

  7. After opening the PDF file, the reading may be printed or downloaded to your computer.
