Learn how to use the Library Catalog on this page. The Library Catalog is available to the general public.
University Libraries provides material to support the research needs of students and faculty. We do not have the goal of providing materials used directly for instruction, i.e. textbooks and media that are required course materials. Students should purchase their own textbooks that are required. However, we do have a few textbooks. You have several options to search for a textbook.
Type some words from the name of the class or textbook, i.e. "engineering" and use the filter drop-down menu to choose "textbook collection. Click the search button. This will find all the textbooks that have the word "engineering" somewhere in the record.
SmartSearch does NOT search all library databases. Also, databases with special features, like MEDLINE or MathSciNet, are not as useful through SmartSearch. Be sure to think critically about what information you want to find before you select a specific database or use a search engine like SmartSearch.
One search wil locate print books, ebooks, journal articles, digital items, and more - all related to your topic. SmartSearch is a product from EBSCOhost, but the tool searches most of the University Libraries' subscription content.
