HIST 535: History of Kansas

The unit within Wichita State University Libraries that acquires, arranges, preserves, and makes available to the public rare and unique books, manuscripts, university records, photographs and other images, and Kansas maps and atlases.

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum’s mission is to educate the community and its visitors about local history by collecting, preserving, and interpreting materials reflecting the heritage of Wichita and Sedgwick County.

Issued quarterly by the Kansas Historical Foundation and the Department of History at Kansas State University, this scholarly journal publishes new research on Kansas and western history and offers interesting, well-illustrated articles that appeal to both the serious student and the general reader.

The Kansas Collection is the regional history division of the University of Kansas Spencer Research Library. The Collection provides researchers with primary source materials that document the history of Kansas and the region. The bulk of the Collection's holdings cover the Kansas Territorial period (1854-1861) to the present.
