College life is a bit different from high school life. Here are some descriptions and tips from those in the know! Everyone at the University Libraries is here to help you succeed and hopefully make your transition a little easier. High school classes are welcome to come to campus and visits can be scheduled in cooperation with other departments to give students a complete campus experience. See the "Plan Your Visit" tab for more information.
Ablah Library has a classroom available when you schedule a time for library instruction. While in the library, students will learn how to use University Libraries resources, be able to use restricted resources while on campus, and print or e-mail articles at no charge. Students will benefit from exploring college-level resources.
Your students may checkout books as a class, if your school is in good standing with University Libraries. A form must be completed for group checkout permission. Conversely, students may checkout their own books as community users. See links in the box below for forms and policies.

High school students are welcome to use computers in Ablah Library! We have computers located in Reserve available for two hours a day for non-Wichita State students. Non-Wichita State students must be on-campus to use electronic library materials. Check in at the Reserve Desk for a user name and password. Large groups who come in to the library with an adult supervisor may be able to get permission to use the Wichita State Student computers. Ask at the Circulation Desk or Reference Desk for details when you arrive. We also have a wireless network for guests to use with personal computer devices while on campus. The WSU guest network does not include access to WSU proprietary databases or e-books. Ask for details.

Computer printing is 7¢ per page. Printing is web-based using PaperCut. Non-students will need to ask for help with printing from the Community User Computers. Printing is free in room 217 Ablah during library instruction.
High school students and other community users may get his or her own WSU library card. High school groups may also check out as a group (use the form below).
