Non-WSU students may park without a permit 3 times each semester in a visitor, non-reserved lot. Visitor parking lots are marked with prominent “V” signage. On your fourth visit to campus during a semester, you’ll need to purchase an ePermit or use paid parking in the WSU Parking Garage.
The parking garage south of RSC includes visitor parking on Levels 2, 3 and 4 ($1.50 / hour). Pay at stair tower pay station immediately after parking. Kiosks are credit card only.
Free, unlimited parking is available at Hughes Metropolitan Complex at 29th and Oliver. Check links below for details about public transportation.
Your school-aged groups may benefit from seeing campus areas outside Ablah Library. There's lots to see and do at WSU! Locations can be identified on this interactive campus map. Be sure to review parking and traffic information in the left column.
Holmes Anthropology Museum
The Holmes Anthropology Museum is directly south-west of Ablah Library in Neff Hall. In addition to displays about the Asmat tribe and other native cultures around the world, there are extensive displays of pottery and textiles. Students can also learn about the archaeological history of Kansas.
Ulrich Museum of Art
The Ulrich Museum of Art offers guided tours of current exhibitions and the 81 piece Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection. Guided tours are free and bus reimbursement is available for school groups.

Campus Activities & Recreation is here to shape your Shocker Experience! Stay fit and try new experiences at one of their many facilities including the Heskett Center, Boats & Bikes, outdoor playing fields, or the Outdoor Sport Complex. CAR hosts over 100 events, programs, and experiences each year. Including the annual 5k/1k Pumpkin Run open to all ages.

Wilson K. Cadman Art Gallery
The Wilson K. Cadman Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Rhatigan Student Center and serves as an exhibition space to artists. The gallery showcases annual competitions, rotating student exhibits and alternating features in the outer display. The gallery consists of two spaces, the main gallery and the Looking Glass.
The Office of Admissions offers campus visits Monday through Friday and can tailor your day to meet your needs. While on your campus visit you can expect to hear about the exciting updates about our university, tour campus, and meet with an admissions representative. You can request an appointment with an academic college or student organization as well as financial aid. They even throw in a free t-shirt! Chartwell's offers many dining options on campus for your group. Shocker Dining Hall is the best-valued option and offers all you care to eat dining per visit. The menu changes daily and can be viewed online. The cashier accepts cash and credit card (Visa, MC, Discover and AmEx). If you have a large group, it is helpful to notify Wichita State Dining in advance at 316-978-3477.
The Rhatigan Student Center food court offers several different retail restaurants including Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Freddy's, Chaat House and Starbucks making it the perfect place to grab a sandwich, custard, Indian cuisine, and coffee. Additional choices available at Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes in the lower level.
Box lunches are also available for pre-order and delivery to a room in Ablah Library, the RSC or most anywhere else on campus. Discuss options with the librarian or make your own catering arrangements.
Enjoy 8 bowling lanes, 6 full-size billiard tables, darts or just hang out with friends at the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes! The sports grill features made-to-order pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads and much more. They even host free Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournaments during the school year! The facility is also available for group events and birthday parties. Visit the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes in the lower level of the Rhatigan Student Center.
