This guide assists research and learning for FYHS 102E and Honors WSUN 102F Facts, Opinions, and Why Both Matter

New York Times and Wall Street Journal

The WSU Libraries have subscriptions to many newspapers, and the links below labeled "subscription" will connect you to these newspapers in our subscription databases (Please note: You will need to log in with your myWSU ID and password). In addition, most newspapers have websites and usually provide some free content. See the links below labeled "website" for direct access into the newspaper's main public website. It is useful to see the organization of a newspaper website and to see headlines grouped according to the topic such as Business or Sports. However, in most cases, by reading several newspaper articles on these public websites, you will soon encounter a paywall that requires a credit card. The advantage of the subscriptions from the library is that you can access most of the newspaper content and not be required to pay. It is best to use both the public newspaper websites and the subscriptions from the library.
