First-Year Seminar Tutorials

This series of tutorials is designed to introduce students to library resources, services, and the basics of conducting research

This series of basic, interactive online tutorials was created to accompany the First-Year Seminar courses.  The tutorials are organized in modules that are accessed by clicking on the tabs to the left.  They introduce the WSU University Libraries, their resources and services, effective searching, and the ethical use of information.  The tutorials cover information literacy and library research skills that involve the ability to find, retrieve, analyze, use, and critically evaluate information needed for assignments and research.  Quizzes at the ends of the modules allow students to test their understanding of points introduced in the modules.

Important: please note that although these tutorials can be viewed on mobile devices and tablets, many of them display best on computers.
