Course Description: Provides a learning experience that engages students in a more refined understanding of the linguistic dimensions of human culture throughthe exploration of the most important methods and theories in linguistics. Students are engaged in case studies taken from various social and cultural contexts. Covers basic elements of the study of various aspects of language including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics.
