Women in Horror: A Film Index

The Prim Reapers are proud to announce our new research tool, Women in Horror: A Film Index. The intent of this index is to celebrate, recognize, and showcase genre films created by women. It is arranged alphabetically by title of the film, and each entry includes the role women took in creating the film (e.g. director, screenwriter, producer, costume designer, etc.), the date of release, country of origin, rating, a brief summary, a content warning if applicable, and more. Films are assigned tags to aid in searching. The index also has an international scope, spanning from 1900 to the present day, and will become a helpful research tool for anyone interested in the horror industry.

The Prim Reapers are Lizzy Walker, Assistant Professor and Metadata and Digital Initiatives Librarian and Faye O'Reilly, Assistant Professor and Digital Resources Librarian.
