Finding Articles Using SmartSearch
This tutorial will show you how to search for articles using SmartSearch, a library search engine that provides results from a variety of different databases subscribed to by the University Libraries. Click anywhere on the image to begin.
Please make sure to make use of the FILTERS available in the library's databases (Date, subject, peer-reviewed, academic journals, etc.) to help your searches be more effective as well as to narrow or expand your literature results!
WSU Libraries are a Federal Depository Library which means that many of these reports are housed in Ablah Library. You can search the WSU Libraries' Online Catalog for documentation regarding "National Parks," [you can filter results by "Government documents" on the right-hand side of the search results screen] - but you can also find MUCH MORE in the holdings of the library (including videos, books, and other resources) by following Call Numbers, Subject Headings, etcetera, in your quest to explore our National Parks and related conservational systems.
These sites allow you to select Government Departments and Agencies, Acts and Plans relating to conservation, National Park System, National Forest System, Bureau of Land Management, Department of Interior, etcetera relating to governmental control and legal actions / proposals regarding federal lands.
