This guide's purpose is to house and provide access to numerous tutorial videos and related materials to enhance patrons' information literacy skills and help them navigate the library collections effectively.

Recorded Savvy Scholar Workshops

This workshop will introduce how to make interactive dynamic maps with ArcGIS Online in order to enhance your research and career pathway. Dr. Joseph Kerski, renowned geographer and education manager at ESRI, will present some of the fundamental tools of ArcGIS Online, an accessible platform for making digital maps with data from a variety of sources and academic fields. In this introductory workshop for the Wichita State University Libraries, renowned geographer Dr. Joseph Kerski of Esri, the global market leader in GIS technology, introduces the fundamentals of GIS and tools such as ArcGIS Online. GIS, or Geographic Information Systems, is a framework to gather and analyze geospatial data. Using maps and 3-D models, it enables one to visualize geospatial data in fields such as geology, meteorology, political science, and history. Event date: September 10, 2021.
