Special Collections is open to the public and located on the lower level of Ablah Library.

Although walk-ins are welcome, we encourage scheduling a research appointment.

Rare Books

Subjects such as Wichita and Kansas history, the U.S. Civil War and Sanitary Commission, abolition, the history of printing, Mesmerism and hypnotism, and aviation and other modes of transportation are representative of the books held in Special Collections. 

The bibliographic records for our book collection can be accessed on the WSU Libraries' online catalog.  Use the "Special Collections & University Archives" filter to limit the search. Books in Special Collections are available for onsite use only.
