Edible Book Festival

Guide for our Edible Book Festival

Edible Book Festival

The Second Annual Edible Book Festival has been postponed due to health concerns surrounding COVID-19. We will reschedule the event for a later date.

We wanted to share some day-of information with participants that will help the event run more smoothly:

  1. If you didn't share a title for your entry when you registered, please send me a reply ASAP with that information. We are making place cards for each entry.
  2. Drop off your edible book at Ablah Library between 8:00 -10:00 am on 4/1/2020 (day of event). Staff will be available to help you.
  3. Winners will be announced at 12:30 pm for the first/second/third place, judges' choice and online favorite. Good luck to you all! In-person voting will determine first/second/third place winners. The online favorite will be determined by online voting on our social media platforms. Like and follow us, and encourage your friends to vote, too!
  4. If you cannot attend, make sure we have your contact information so we can get the prize to you another time.
  5. Please pick up your edible book between 12:00 - 1:00 pm.
  6. You may have another person pick up or drop off your Edible Book on your behalf. You are encouraged and welcome to stay for the whole event.
  7. Entries will be on display for 3-4 hours, so they should not require refrigeration during that time. In accordance with campus food policies, entries will not be eaten during the event. Refreshments will be provided during the reception.
  8. By entering the competition you have granted permission for the University Libraries to photograph your edible book with the possibility of use on the Libraries' Edible Book website, other publications, and/or social media.
