Creative Commons Images

One way of finding images for your speeches is to use Creative Commons-licensed images, which may be found through the following sources. Creative Commons images require an attribution message, so be sure to cite your source.

What is Creative Commons?
Compfight
a way to search Flickr for Creative Commons photos. Use the menu at the bottom left to choose your search options.
Wikimedia Commons
search for public domain images, sounds, and videos (great for your presentations).
Flickr Creative Commons Search
Google Images Advanced Search
in the "Usage Rights" box at the bottom of the search screen, choose one of the options starting with free to use or share. Note that you can even search for images that are free to use commercially.
Free Stock Photos
a list of sites around the web that offer free stock photos (some may require you to sign up for an account).
FlickrStorm
search for photos that can be used commercially, with a "share alike" license and more.
