Most books and other materials relevant to chemistry research are located on the 2nd floor of Ablah Library. Journals are found in the Chemistry Library in McKinley Hall. The call numbers for major chemistry areas are below:
World's most comprehensive bibliography with over 40 million records of all types of materials (e.g. books, dissertations, manuscripts, serials, sound recordings, videos and more) cataloged by OCLC member libraries. Coverage:1200-present. Selecting WSU custom page provides localized content from Wichita State University Libraries' collection.
Index to all dissertations, theses and published material based on theses cataloged by OCLC member libraries, including Wichita State University.

The Compendium is popularly referred to as the "Gold Book", in recognition of the contribution of the late Victor Gold, who initiated work on the first edition. It is one of the series of IUPAC "Colour Books" on chemical nomenclature, terminology, symbols and units (see the list of source documents), and collects together terminology definitions from IUPAC recommendations already published in Pure and Applied Chemistry and in the other Colour Books.
Contains descriptions of over 10,000 substances, registry numbers, trade names and references. Use the index and remember to check the list of abbreviations in the front. Most recent edition can be found in the reference sections of McKinley Chemistry Library and Ablah Library. One of the Chemistry Library computers has an e-version.
This three volume set includes over 18,000 spectra categorized by chemical functionality and arranged in order of increasing structural complexity. All spectra were run in the Aldrich quality control laboratories and confirmed by other spectroscopic and chromatographic analyses. The library includes extensive cross-references by chemical name, molecular formula, CAS number, and Aldrich catalog number. The Aldrich Library of Spectra contains C and H FT NMR; Infrared, and NMR volumes. (Respectively QC 462.85 .A44 - QC457 .A43 - and QD96 .N8 P68 All are folios)
