SciFinder is a very powerful database with a number of different features you can use, including general reference searching, structure searching, and reaction searching. SciFinder is for use by current Wichita State University students, faculty, and staff only.
You will need to create a username and password using the registration form below. You will then use this username and password to access the web version of SciFinder.
Due to the email domain change, current users will need to update their accounts from @wichita.edu to @shockers.wichita.edu. This can be done by visiting http://proxy.wichita.edu/login?url=https://scifinder-n.cas.org. Please login using your current account information.
Do not share your username and password with anyone. It is a violation of the terms of use and will result in loss of access for everyone.
Please note: Depending on the browser being used, a "Security Alert" message may pop-up before you are taken to the SciFinder website. The SciFinder website is a secure site and requires a certificate to be sent by our server and due to how the certificate must be configured, the name on the certificate does not match the name of the site, which triggers the alert. This does not mean the security on the computer has been negated so clicking "Yes" to proceed should be safe.
You can only register for SciFinder from a computer located on the WSU campus or using the WSU Secure Network. There are computers available within the the WSU Libraries and Jabara Hall. After the registration form is submitted, CAS will send you an e-mail message with instructions for completing the registration process.

Username Guidelines
Your username must be unique and contain 5-15 characters. It can contain only letters or a combination of letters, numbers, and/or these special characters:
