PHIL 385: Engineering Ethics

Use Electronic Databases to Find Professional and Scholarly Journal Articles

 

Electronic databases are indexes to large collections of journals (and sometimes also magazines, dissertations, newspapers, etc.). They are the best starting point when you are looking for journal articles on a topic. Some electronic databases focus on technical and engineering-related publications. Others are more general, and cover a broader range of topic areas and publication types. And some databases are especially useful for finding information about events that happened in the past. All three kinds of databases are listed in separate sections below.
