University Libraries Undergraduate Research Award

The University Libraries seeks to award undergraduate students for demonstrating research skills that utilize the Libraries' resources, including our collections, services, equipment, and facilities. This award is a supplement to the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF)

Up to three awards will be given annually: 

First .......... $250

Second ..... $200

Third ......... $150

Applicants must submit the following for consideration: 

1. A 200-300 word description of how they used the University Libraries' collections, services, equipment, and/or facilities in their URCAF project.

2. A bibliography of works cited.

The deadline for entering has been extended to
end of day Sunday, April 10, 2022.



University Libraries will accept submissions for individual as well as collaborative research projects. Collaborative research projects may include no more than five group members, are subject to the eligibility requirements below, and will have reward monies divided equally among members. 

To be eligible, applicants must: 

  1. have submitted an abstract to URCAF
  2. be currently enrolled as a Wichita State University undergraduate student at any class level and in any discipline;
  3. agree to submit a short biography to be included in the University Libraries' subsequent publications if selected to receive an award.
