Library Instruction Program

Provides more information for Wichita State University teaching faculty and instructors about critical thinking, information and digital literacies, and library instruction.

Library Instruction

For Spring 2021, library instruction will be online, either in synchronous or asynchronous format, depending on the structure and needs of the class. If online instruction is not a viable option for your class, contact your subject librarian to inquire about other arrangements.

Wichita State University faculty and instructors are invited to request virtual library instruction sessions or digital learning objects (such as videos) for their classes. You may request a library instruction session by contacting your liaison librarian, also referred to as a subject librarian. You can find their contact information in the Directory of Subject Librarians.

Please request instruction sessions and digital learning objects at least two weeks before your preferred date in order to allow the librarian sufficient time to prepare. Requests made less than one week (seven days) in advance of the session will be honored at the discretion of the librarian, but cannot be guaranteed.

For Fall 2020, all library workshops will be conducted virtually. The library offers a variety of workshops. Find a list of the current semester's workshops below, or by viewing the Library Events Calendar.

To schedule a library tour or orientation, contact Angela Paul, Outreach Librarian, at or at 316-978-5084.

High school instructors are invited to schedule an instruction session to teach their students about library resources and research skills. Please contact Angela Paul at or at 978-5084 or fill out a request form.
