WSU faculty and instructors are invited to request virtual or in-person library instruction sessions for their classes. We will tailor session to the needs of your students. You may request a library instruction session by contacting your liaison librarian, also referred to as a subject librarian.
Please request your session at least one week (seven days) before your preferred date in order to allow the librarian sufficient time for planning a class based on your session objectives. Requests made less than one week (seven days) in advance of the session will be honored at the discretion of the librarian, but cannot be guaranteed.
Please note that Ablah Library has one instruction classroom: 217. When making requests for instruction, keep in mind that this classroom is not equipped for HyFlex teaching situations, where some students are in person and others are online. This means that there is not a mounted camera to stream video or microphones to capture audio from students in the room. It is possible for the librarian to use a web camera and personal microphone during class, but online students will only be able to see a portion of the room and hear the librarian. If you have additional questions about options for library instruction, please contact your subject librarian.
For Fall 2020, all library workshops will be conducted virtually. The library offers a variety of workshops. Find a list of the current semester's workshops below, or by viewing the Library Events Calendar.
To schedule a library tour or orientation, contact Angela Paul, Outreach Librarian, at angela.paul@wichita.edu or at 316-978-5084.
