High School Students: IB Program

International Baccalaureate

Filled blue circle with white profile of person at a laptopEveryone at the University Libraries is here to help you succeed and hopefully make your life a little easier. If there's anything you need, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us using the information in the "Getting Help" box on the "Research Basics" tab in this guide.

Although non-WSU persons need to be on campus to read electronic articles and books, you can identify what we have! Use SmartSearch to run a search on your topic and create a list of the items you want to see. The limiters, tools like the Citation Aid, and abstracts are all available for you when off campus. You will need to come to Ablah Library to get the full-text of articles and books.

High school classes are welcome to come to campus and visits can be scheduled in cooperation with other departments to give students a complete campus experience. See the "Plan Your Visit" tab for more information.

Ablah Library has a classroom available when you schedule a time for library instruction. While in the library, students will learn how to use University Libraries resources, be able to use restricted resources while on campus, and print or e-mail articles at no charge. Students will benefit from exploring college-level resources.

Your students may checkout books as a class, if your school is in good standing with University Libraries. A form must be completed for group checkout permission. See the Library Facilities tab in this library guide for details about borrowing books as a community user.

Details can be discussed when you make the appointment. Contact Angela Paul or use this form to schedule time in Ablah Library for your class.
