Savvy Scholar workshops cover essential topics such as effective research strategies, information literacy, and academic writing. These skills are vital for academic and professional excellence.
WSU undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff are all invited to attend.

Join this session to learn what systematic reviews are and aren’t, what makes them systematic, how you can read and interpret them, and how you can write them. Learn why they are by many measures the fastest growing form of published scholarly research.
ArcGIS Online enables users to make attractive and informative maps with just a few clicks. It is a great way to start learning geographic information systems, or GIS. This workshop will be an introduction to ArcGIS Online and will highlight several important tools. Participants will learn about finding data and making online maps.
Helping us to do many research-related tasks more quickly, AI tools such as ChatGPT can dazzle us. These AI tools can also mislead us, for example by not always providing the most accurate information about a topic. In this workshop, two subject librarians will not only provide practical tips for using AI tools but will also guide participants in thinking critically about the limitations of this technology.
Learn to use EndNote to upload citation data from library databases, create new citations in various citation styles, organize citations, and insert citations into a MS Word document.
