First-Gen Students

Services for first-generation students at WSU include academic and financial support, and offices for other special groups such as veterans, minority groups, and returning adults.

This federally funded program assists students from first generation and limited income families as well as students with disabilities.

This team works with and also outside normal University departments to get students unconventional assistance.

Free professional clothes! Appointment required.

Get help with stress, substance abuse, neurodiversity support, and many other mental health challenges.

Provides assistance with military education benefits.

Connect with other adult learners in the lounge over free coffee, visit the computer lab with free printing, and use the staff to find advocates, scholarships, and mentors.

A collection of programs that help students warm up and get in the right mindset the week (or two) prior to the beginning of the regularly scheduled fall semester. Programs target specific types of students, such as returning adults, first-generation, and athletes.
