Wichita State Common Read 2021-2022

Wichita State Common Read

The Wichita State Common Read was initiated by the Office of First Year Programs to provide students a common experience in their first year at Wichita State University. For the 2021-2022 academic year, the Wichita State Common Read program has selected What the Eyes Don't See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance, and Hope in an American City by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha. As a common read experience, all new students receive a copy of What the Eyes Don't See at student orientation and the novel will be  incorporated into classes such as WSU 101 and Honors 101 as well as various programs outside of the classroom.
