Library Research Award

Information about the University Libraries research award for students.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I won in a previous year, may I apply again?

Yes. You may even submit the same project, although it should have a uniquely written summary showing your most current work for this ongoing project.

How am I expected to use the funds?

The funds are presented to the individual or group listed in the application. There are no restrictions on how the funds are used by the award winners.

I am a student worker at WSU and have used the library for my job. May I submit a project directed by my supervisor?

No. The project must be class-related. If you are using library services or resources, etc. in your capacity as an employee or otherwise getting paid to complete a project, the project is not eligible.

I have carefully read the Home page and other pages on this guide but still have questions. How do I get answers?

Send questions to lib.award@wichita.edu and expect a response within two business days.
