Websites are published by individuals and various kinds of organizations. The publisher's name can often be found in a copyright notice at the bottom of the home page or on a page that gives information about the site." (Adapted from the MLA Handbook ch. 5.57.)
An access date should be included in a citation if the source does not have a publication date or if the source might be altered or removed, such as social media sources. See MLA Handbook chapter 5.111 for verification of this statement.
If an online handle differs from the author's account name, add the handle in square brackets after the name. If the handle and account name are similar, the handle can me omitted if the URL is included in the entry. Organization names sometimes start with "the" or "a." These initials articles should be omitted from the author's name as in this example for The Robin's Nest, a store inside Paramount East Antique Mall:

When an organization is both author and publisher, skip the author element and begin the entry with the work's title. See MLA Handbook chapters 5.16-5.22 for more information about author names.
